July 16, 2020, was a day of cancellations due to COVID-19 uncertainty.
The Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) decided to suspend all fall sports because of the growing number of COVID-19 cases. That meant North Carolina A&T wouldn't have a fall football season.
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) also announced all fall sports were delayed until at least September 1.
They later amended the schedules for fall sports to start in November, December, January, and February.
Bowman Gray Racing in Winston-Salem also announced they'd canceled their 2020 racing season.
