GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year WFMY News 2 turns 75! So to celebrate, we're opening the WFMY News 2 vault.
February 26, 2021 was a day met with excitement, nerves, and anticipation.
That was the day state officials lifted many of the COVID-19 restrictions that had been in effect for months.
The day marked the start of a return to normalcy.
There was no longer a statewide curfew and alcohol sales were allowed until 11 p.m.
Bars and movie theaters reopened at 30 percent capacity, with a cap of 250 people, and outdoor businesses remained limited to 30 percent capacity but no longer had a 100 person cap.
