STOKESDALE, N.C. — WFMY News 2 turns 75 this year and to celebrate, we are opening the News 2 Vault.
On July 18, 1990, WFMY News 2 got to be a guest at a special birthday party! Camp Carefree celebrated its 4th birthday!
The Stokesdale Camp provides a free, one-week camping experience for kids with chronic illnesses. The birthday celebration featured hayrides, face painting, a campfire, and of course cake!
This year the camp celebrates 38 years in the Piedmont.
