GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year, WFMY News 2 turns 75! So, to celebrate we're opening the News 2 Vault.
On June 24, 2005, The Reverend Billy Graham led his last American crusade.
A sold-out filled the stands at a park near Shea Stadium in New York. The 86-year-old carried on, despite his health challenges including prostate cancer and Parkinson's Disease.
His message focused on religion urging everyone to think about the basics.
That crusade in New York was his last of 417. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 99.
