GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year... WFMY News 2 turns 75! So to celebrate... We're opening the WFMY News 2 vault.
On July 20, 1996, WFMY News 2 kicked off a program that has helped thousands of children around the Triad.
That was the day we launched our Tools for School program.
Walmarts have been with us from the very beginning.
Shoppers buy school supplies from participating stores and drop them in the box at the front of the store.
Collected supplies then go to local school systems!
Mark your calendars!
This year's Tools for School campaign runs from Monday, July 29 through Monday, September 9.
