On August 21, 2015, "Tourney Town" became "Tiger Town" as Tiger Woods competed at the Wyndham.
Woods was a fan favorite and a major draw at Sedgefield.
Tournament organizers say they had never seen first-round crowds like these.
Organizers sold 49,000 extra tickets!
There were huge crowds at every hole Woods played.
And he played well!
He had one of his finest performances of the previous two years... In the opening round at the Wyndham.
In the end, Davis Love III raised the Sam Snead Cup that year.
