GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year... WFMY News 2 turns 75! So to celebrate, We're opening the News 2 vault.
As Guilford County students prepare to go back to school... We're looking back at some other kids back to school preps.
But this wasn't your ordinary family.
Sean, Morgan, Ben, Maddie and Carson Brewer made history as the first quintuplets born in the Piedmont.
They were born in 2004, so in August 2010, they were getting ready to start school!
For their family, that meant a lot of supplies... And for mom, a lot of prayer!
"You just hope that when they go out in the world and you're not with them, they act the way you hope they would."
Only four of the Brewer kids started school. The fifth quintuple, Carson, died when he was six months old.
Here's an update.
The siblings are living in Alabama and attending school.
They'll be 20 in November.
