On August 17, 2022, a Burlington family had a happy reunion... Thanks to an observant groomer.
The Mashburn family dog, Abby, had been missing for 10 months.
Someone brought her in to get groomed.
The groomer recognized Abby and called the Mashburns.
"I'm overjoyed for two reasons, one to have her back, but second because I knew it was going to help my wife. She's been depressed for the last 10 months she's been very very depressed."
The Mashburns didn't plan to file charges against the mystery woman who had Abby.
They were just happy to have her back home.
