GREENSBORO, N.C. — This year... WFMY News 2 turns 75! So to celebrate... We're opening the WFMY News 2 vault.
On April 7, 2004, we were talking about some traffic confusion.
The I-85 bypass had opened... But exit numbers and road signs hadn't been fully updated.
So several drivers wound up getting lost or turned around.
"I think it's a combination of getting acclimated to the change and the signage."
Signs going through Greensboro also needed to be changed to say business 85.
The state made the changes to the signs and added more in the following weeks.
