May 31, 2014, meant people in the Triad had a new place to pay their respects to our veterans.
That was the day people gathered to dedicate the field of honor at Triad Park.
The memorial features six monuments representing each branch of the military.
And you'll find more than 6,000 brick pavers dedicated to veterans lining the walkways.
The memorial took more than six years of planning to bring it to life.
But it happened and the dedication ceremony featured military officials and dignitaries from across the state.
