On June 22, 2023, Winston-Salem native, Chris Paul, got the news he was heading to a new team.
The Washington Wizards finalized a deal sending Paul to the Golden State Warriors.
Paul had played with the Suns for three seasons before being traded to the Wizards.
They then traded him to the Warriors within days of that deal being finalized.
In his time with the Warriors, Paul played 58 games.
He missed two months with a hand injury.
