Who's Turning 75 | Week of July 25

As WFMY News 2 celebrates turning 75 in August, we're also celebrating members of our community who are also turning 75.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Next month, WFMY News 2 is turning 75 and we want to celebrate our viewers who are also turning 75!

We begin today with a birthday from last week! Brenda turned 75 on July 19. She has two daughters, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is retired from Wachovia bank after 35 years of service. She loves spending time with family, singing and watching The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. Happy birthday Brenda!

This is Tom and Darby. Tom turned 75 on Sunday, the 21st and Darby turns 75 this coming Sunday, July 28th! Tom is a retired business owner. Darby is an Episcopal priest. In May, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Tom loves lighthouses and Darby loves all turtles and tortoises. They both love being with family and friends, traveling, and the beach! Happy 75th birthday to you both!

Happy birthday to Bruce! He also turned 75 on July 21st. He lives in High Point and grew up watching the Old Rebel Show, Captain Kangaroo, Howdy Doody, the Mickey Mouse Club and other shows in black and white on WFMY! Happy birthday Bruce!

Happy 75th to Kay! She turned 75 on July 24th, but she started celebrating in February with a trip to Barbados! She's originally from New Jersey, but moved to High Point and retired after a career in human resources! Happy birthday to you Kay.

Happy birthday Robert! This Thomasville resident also turned 75 on the 24th. He served  in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired from a senior design electrical engineer job. Happy 75th to you Robert!

Last but not least, happy birthday to Candy! She turns 75 on July 27th. She lives in Lewisville and loves elephants of all kinds. She's proud of the fact that at age 75 she still has friends from grade school! Happy 75th to you, Candy, and all of our friends turning 75 this week!
