GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's that time of year again! The NC Folk Fest will make its return to Greensboro on Friday, Sept. 6 as summer comes to a close.
The three-day music festival is completely free and will showcase a variety of music acts from all over the world. According to the festival's website, the event is celebrating its tenth year.
Held in downtown Greensboro, each day of the festival will feature a different headlining artist. A separate North Carolina stage will be set for acts from the state.
How do I get there?
According to the NC Folk Fest's website, Greensboro buses toward downtown will be fare-free this weekend.

Who's performing?
The three acts headlining the NC Folk Fest this year are:
- The War & Treaty (Friday, Sept. 6)
- Los Lonely Boys (Saturday, Sept. 7)
- Mipso (Sunday, Sept. 8)
At least 27 other acts will take to the stage that weekend.
What are the festival's hours?
- Friday, Sept. 6: 4 p.m. to midnight
- Saturday, Sept. 7: 10 a.m. to midnight
- Sunday, Sept. 8: 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What food and marketplace vendors will be there?
Lots of food trucks will be present at the festival if you need a bite to eat. Marketplace vendors from local shops will also be present if you want to grab a few items.
