OAK RIDGE, N.C. — There is something causing quite a stir in the Oak Ridge town just north of Greensboro.
And if you asked people who live there, this story is number one on their minds.
No matter where you go in this small town, everyone's talking about their new resident.
"I've heard rumors for a while, but recently I spoke with some of my friends who say they've seen him," said Andrew McCraw manager of Stokeridge Tavern.
"In fact, some of our waitstaff say that they might have waited on him because once they found out who he was they did some online research and said they recognized him from the pictures."
In the same shopping complex is a veterinary clinic and the workers there say the same thing. They've heard the rumors and even heard that he drives a Hummer and the entire community is on the lookout.
Who is the mystery resident?
None other than Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. A hair band back in the 1980s sang, 'We're Not Gonna Take It'.
Word gets out quickly in a small town.
Even some local employees in adjacent strip malls said they've even figured out what kind of car he drives and they watch for that car by the house. It's become almost somewhat of a game.
"You know, we are a small community and I don't think he can hide for long," chuckled McCraw.
"He might stand out just a bit in our community," he said.
