Nashville, TN --A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman says the death of a young daughter of Christian music superstar Steven Curtis Chapman "looks like a tragic accident."
Five-year-old Maria was struck and killed by an SUV driven byher teenage brother on the driveway of the family's Nashville-area home. The brother, whose name and exact age weren't available, apparently didn't see his sister. Several family members witnessed the accident. No charges are expected.
Chapman and his wife have promoted international adoption and have three daughters from China, including Maria. They have three biological children.
The multiple Grammy award-winning Chapman has also released a book about being a father entitled "Cinderella: The Love of Daddy and his Princess."
