Winter Thunderstorm Moves Through Triad On First Day Of Spring
On Tuesday, on the first day of spring thunderstorms moved through the Triad bringing with it the sleet.
WFMY News 2 received lots of pictures of the sleet and video from viewers all across the Triad.
What Spring? Winter Weather Invades the Triad Again
The storms also brought with it thunder and lightning for a show in the sky.
A spring snowfall is heading toward the Piedmont Triad, and could be our latest snowfall in 15 years for this time of year. The WFMY News 2 Weather Team expects a trace to 1" of snow for most of the Piedmont on Wednesday, and it could make for a slick morning commute.

We'll have reporters in Alamance and Rockingham counties updating you on conditions during the Good Morning Show. Most of the snow is on the lighter side with slight accumulation. Some areas could get around an inch of accumulation but temps will rise above freezing this afternoon to change the precipitation back to rain.
