More sun & warmth today, storm chance late Tuesday

Getting warm and toasty through this week with another storm chance by the weekend

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Today: Mostly Sunny. Warmer. High 83. 

Tonight: Mostly Clear. Low 59.

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy. Afternoon Thunderstorm Possible. High 81. 

Wednesday: Partly Sunny. Mainly Dry High 84.

Thursday: Partly Sunny. High 84.

WEATHER SUMMARY: 

High pressure off the Southeast U.S. coast will control Piedmont weather for much of this week. The very warm temperatures will continue for the rest of the week. Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 83. Tonight, will be mostly clear with a low of 59. By Tuesday, a dying cold front, and weak upper-level disturbance will approach. This combined with afternoon heating will produce a 30% isolated shower or storm chance in the afternoon and evening. The high on Tuesday will be 81. While Wednesday and Thursday will be generally dry, afternoon heating could produce a stray storm. They will be isolated at best. Highs on both days will be in the mid 80's. The low Monday morning will be 59, and around 60 through Friday morning. 

As moisture increases, there will be a slight chance of isolated P.M. storms on Friday with a slightly better storm chance Saturday afternoon. High temperatures Friday and Saturday will be int he lower 80's and near 80 on Saturday.

The normal low is 52, and the normal high is 75.
