RALEIGH, N.C. – After posting back-to-back nine-win seasons for the first time in 28 years and only the third time in school history, NC State will once again face a dynamic schedule in 2019. The Wolfpack, which made its fifth straight bowl appearance last season will play seven home contests, and for the first time in school history, appear in two nationally-televised Thursday night contests.

The Wolfpack will open the 2019 campaign where the 2018 regular season closed. The East Carolina Pirates, who suffered a 58-3 loss in Carter-Finley Stadium on Dec. 2, will be back on Aug. 31, as NC State tries to win its 13th consecutive home game against a non-ACC foe.

In week two, Southern Conference member Western Carolina will visit Raleigh.

The Pack hits the road for the first time with a trip to West Virginia on Sept. 14. The game is the second of a two-game series, with the first contest not played this past fall in Raleigh due to the impacts of Hurricane Michael. NC State last faced the Mountaineers in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, a 23-7 Wolfpack win.

NC State closes its non-conference schedule at home against MAC opponent Ball State on Sept. 21, the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

League action opens on Sept. 28 with a trip to Tallahassee to take on Atlantic Division foe Florida State.  After a Saturday off, the first of two ESPN Thursday night contests will take place in Carter-Finley Stadium, as Syracuse comes to town on Oct. 10.

The Pack will then hit the road for two straight games against other Atlantic Division opponents:  at Boston College on Oct. 19 and at Wake Forest on Nov. 2 with a second open week sandwiched in between on Oct. 26.

Back-to-back home contests come in mid-November, with defending national champion Clemson on Nov. 9, followed by Louisville on Nov. 16, which will serve as NC State's annual homecoming contest.

The Wolfpack will close out the regular season against two ACC Coastal Division opponents, beginning with a Thursday night contest at Georgia Tech on Nov. 21. NC State last played the Yellow Jackets in 2014 and last faced them in Atlanta in 2010.

For the sixth straight season, the Pack will close out the regular season with North Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 30 as part of the ACC's annual Thanksgiving rivalry weekend.
