LEXINGTON, N.C. — Officers are investigating after a man was found dead in Lexington Thursday.
Lexington police said they received a call in reference to a possible dead body found in a wooded area near Erlanger walking trail around 10 a.m.
When officers arrived they found a dead man who they later identified as Zachary Hailey, 33, of Lexington.
Police said they do not know how Hailey died.
Investigators said they have no reason to believe there is any ongoing cause for concern.
The investigation is ongoing.
