LEXINGTON, NC - A 13-year-old was taken into custody after making threats against North Davidson Middle School this week according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.
On Monday, Feb. 26, Davidson County Deputies responded to a call about an NDMS student making violent threats towards the school.
The juvenile was taken into custody Tuesday for one count of Felonious Threat of Mass Violence on Educational Property. There was no evidence found to suggest that they had access to weapons to carry out his alleged threats.
The teen will be held in detention until their court date on Friday, March 2.
In a press release, Sheriff David Grice reiterated that these types of threats won't be tolerated and any violators would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
