GRAHAM, N.C. — Editor's note: The State Highway Patrol identified the deceased passenger as 38-year-old Jordan Casey Watts-Wilson, of Burlington. Last week, Highway Patrol said the identity the agency initially released of the woman who died was incorrect.
State troopers said a person died after a head-on crash on Highway 87 in Graham.
It happened shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday near Boy Wood Road.
Highway Patrol said a Hyundai driven by Tommy Lynn Wilson, 42, crossed the center line and hit a Chevrolet head-on. Wilson and the driver of the Chevrolet, Nora Shelley, 86, both had serious injuries and were taken to UNC Hospital. Troopers said a passenger in the Hyundai went to a local hospital for serious injuries, where they later died.
The Hyundai passenger who died was later identified as 38-year-old Jordan Casey Watts-Wilson, of Burlington.
Troopers are still investigating the crash. They are meeting with the Alamance County District Attorney's Office on Thursday regarding charges.
