Greensboro Family Still Looking for Answers in Son's Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident

It's been 2 years since Dorien Pearsall was killed in a hit-and-run, and investigators have not made an arrest.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Saturday marked the 2-year anniversary of the death of Dorien Pearsall.

Pearsall was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Greensboro on February 16, 2017.

To date, Investigators still don’t know who was driving the car that hit Pearsall.

Dorien’s sister, Catrinia Hayes, spoke Sunday on how she is still coping with the loss of her brother 2-years later.

"It hurts bad. All I asked for these past two years and when it first happened for whoever to come forward. Like, I don’t get, it’s been two years now, and there still going on, like, they just didn’t do anything and we’re here suffering and, just like, come clean, you know? Come clean already.

Though the pain is still obviously there, Hayes also remembers the good times. Like Dorien’s playful side, sharing that there was never a dull moment when he was around.

“It was never a dull moment with my brother, never. It was never a dull moment. Me and one of my friends, we were play fighting one day in my apartment down the street over here, and he and my mom came in and he said, ‘mama look at them looking like to fat pandas rolling around on the floor,’ and everybody just died laughing.”

One long-lasting memory that Hayes shared was that of Persall’s favorite Looney Tunes outfit.

“My mom went and got him this outfit, and it had Looney Tunes all over it. And he just loves that outfit and my grandma said, ‘boy you ain’t wearing these pajamas everywhere with me.’ And he was like, ‘these ain’t pajamas grandma!’

“ He has made a whole rap about these pajamas... I mean, not pajamas, I didn’t mean to say that, I’m sorry, Dorien! They’re NOT pajamas. They’re his outfit.”

The family has since put Dorian's rap in a teddy bear. A bear that will always remind the family of the joy that Dorien would bring and memories that will last forever!

Investigators say the little boy was hit on Ward Road. They believe the car that struck him was a dark blue BMW 7 series made sometime between 2003 to 2005.
