2018 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships Comes To Greensboro

The entire competition has about 380 of the best women's and men's collegiate swimmers and divers. Athletes are vying for the chance to become a national champion.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The wait is over for swim fans.

The 2018 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships are in Greensboro.

Wingate University and the Greensboro Aquatic Center are hosting the four-day meet.

It kicked off on Tuesday with the NCAA Diving Qualifier.

18 men and 22 female athletes will compete in the diving portion of the championships.

The divers were chosen based on their performance during the qualification diving meet.

The entire competition has about 380 of the best women's and men's collegiate swimmers and divers.

Athletes are vying for the chance to become a national champion.

Here's a look at the upcoming schedule:

Thursday, March 15th:

  • 200-yard freestyle relay
  • 400-yard individual medley
  • 100-yard butterfly
  • 200-yard freestyle
  • 1-meter diving (M)
  • 400-yard medley relay

Friday, March 16th:

  • 500-yard freestyle
  • 100-yard backstroke
  • 100-yard breaststroke
  • 200-yard butterfly
  • 1-meter diving (W)
  • 800-yard freestyle relay

Saturday, March 17th:

  • 1650-yard freestyle
  • 100-yard freestyle
  • 200-yard backstroke
  • 200-yard breaststroke
  • 3-meter diving (M)
  • 400-yard freestyle relay

Tickets are available at the Greensboro Coliseum box office.

You can also purchase "single-session tickets" on each day of the competition.
