FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WNCN) - An 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper was found dead in barracks at Fort Bragg on Friday, officials said.
Pfc. Justin Kriska, 24, of Saint Louis, Missouri was discovered dead in his barracks room, according to a news release from the 82nd Airborne Division.
Kriska served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic assigned to 1-319 Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 3nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, the news release said.
“Our heartfelt condolences and sympathy go out to his family and friends ... Please respect the family as they grieve for their loved one," Kriska's commanding officer Lt. Col. Jeffrey Munn said in the release.
Kriska joined the Army in May 2017 and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in April 2018.
"Military officials do not suspect foul play and the incident is under investigation," the news release said.
