Woman Robs Bank, Then Calls A Cab, Next Stop Jail

A woman insinuated she had a weapon to rob the Arvest Bank on Broadway before leaving with cash in a cab from another location. Police tracked the cab to Conway and Conway police arrested her. Little Rock police will pick up the woman.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A woman insinuated she had a weapon to rob the Arvest Bank on Broadway before leaving with cash in a cab from another location. Police tracked the cab to Conway and Conway police arrested her. Little Rock police will pick up the woman.

The suspect robbed the bank at 10:23 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14. She was wearing a raincoat and a red scarf on her head. Once she left with cash, she called a cab, police said they found this out from a witness.

She was arrested within 20 to 40 minutes of the robbery.

"It's getting close to the holidays so we are on the lookout and aware of potential robberies and stuff," Lt. Ford said.

After the robbery, the woman called the cab to take her to Best Buy and then to a gas station, where she was arrested.
