After being arraigned in a Massachusetts courtroom, the actor is charged with indecent assault and battery for allegedly groping an 18 year old bus boy in a restaurant in 2016. Although he didn't talk in court yesterday, his body language may have revealed what he was feeling.
Three moments worth noting. First, Spacey showed a slight sign of contempt when he heard "victim" and gave a long blink, which signals that you don't like what you're hearing. The sign of contempt could signal the way he feels about the victim. Second, Spacey stood in one spot almost throughout the entire arraignment. It's not typical to do so. Notice that his hands are covering the lower part of his body, which you typically do when you're not feeling confident or you're trying to protect yourself. When he sat down that's you see the eyeglass case in his hands. Perhaps, he held the case to keep his hands steady. Or, he could have squeezed the eyeglass case to relieve a bit of tension. At the end of the arraignment, you notice that Spacey relaxes. He's moving side to side and it looks like he might be shaking his legs. Your body finds a way to relieve pent up stress and anxiety.
